Welcome to B.A.C.O.N.

Here at B.A.C.O.N. we work to host the most exciting, competitive hog hunting costests in the South. We aren't interested in one big fantasy payout created from hundreds of teams having to sign up for a single pot even though only a few teams will be competitive. We believe in letting the contestants decide the pots they'll enter.

bacon_lodgeEnter at your discretion

That's right. We don't force you to enter a main pot where you won't be able to compete, in order for you to enter our other pots. That may make for a splashy headline on the main pot amount, but it leaves 98% of teams funding a pot where only 2% of teams have any chance of winning. For our contests, you don't need to enter any pot if you don't think you'll be competitive. Enter one pot or any combination of pots.

You'll love these choices!

boss_hogg_left We show you what pots we're offering during the contest sign-up phase, along with the cost to sign up for each pot. We target (pun intended) realistic hog weights in our exact weight pots. We show you the payout for each pot and the number of places paying for each pot. Our pot payouts update in real time, so as more contestants complete their registration, the pots are immediately updated. There's no waiting until a contest starts, to learn what the pot total and the payout for each place will be. There's no cryptic math to figure out what percentage each pot will pay, for each place. There's no guessing or wondering how many teams have entered into each pot. We even provide an online leader board that updates in real time during weigh-in activities, so you can check from anywhere at any time so long as you have internet access. No waiting on a photo of hand-written leader updates, posted randomly on social media.

We host our contests on weekends, because we feel this will maximize the opportunity for the majority of contestants to hunt and get a hog weighed, before the top spots get claimed. Allowing weigh-in's only on weekends won't guarantee everyone a shot (pun intended) but it should help those that also have to hold down one or more regular jobs and/or have a family that keeps them busy during the week.
