How many people may be on a team?

A team may have one (1) or two (2) members. The person completing the team registration must make this declaration as part of the registration process. By default, Solo Hunter is selected as Yes.

Can a person be on more than one team?

No. Each person may only be a member of one team. Each person is tracked in our system by their unique state issued ID. Any person falsifying an ID or in possession of multiple state issued ID's and using these IDs to register under more than one team will be disqualified, along with any/all team members and permanently banned from participating in all future contests.

Can different teams hunt together, or on the same property?

You're welcome to hunt with one or more other teams, just keep in mind that any hog taken may only be weighed by one team, one time. Once a hog has been weighed it will be marked as such and cannot be weighed by a different team for any purpose, in any contest.

May I weigh a single hog in more than one Pot?

For exact weight pots, a single hog may only be weighed and logged as an entry into a single pot. When a team has entered into multiple pots, the team must decide at time of weigh-in, the pot the hog will be entered in. As a for example if a team were to weigh a 213 lb. hog and that team was entered into a exact weight 200 and an exact weight 225, the team would need to specify the pot where the hog weight was to be entered. Once a pot has been selected and entered, the team cannot change their selected pot, even if the hog may have placed in a payout spot in another pot.

For heavy pots, a single hog may be entered into a comparable exact weight pot or heavy pot when applicable and appropriate and may also be weighed as part of a heavy stringer as applicable and appropriate.

May I weigh multiple hogs any time my team weighs in?

Excluding a heavy string pot a team may weigh at no cost, up to two (2) hogs per day per pot, where a team is entered. Up to five (5) additional hogs may be weighed per day per pot where a team is entered, at a cost of $25 per hog.

For any heavy string pot, a team may weigh at no cost, up to two (2) “stringers" of hogs per day per pot, where a team is entered. Each stringer weighed must be comprised of hogs not previously weighed as part of a previous stringer, for that heavy string pot.

May I weigh a hog for a pot, even if the top spots are claimed?

For exact weight pots, we'll continue to weigh and capture competitive weight, where applicable and appropriate. As a for example, if 5 exact weight hogs have been weighed into an exact weight 150lb pot, we'll continue to capture additional hogs from a team, where that team may have a hog that is exact or close to the exact weight.

For heavy pots we will continue to log weights where the associated weight(s) may be considered competitive.

Can one team win more than one Pot?

Yes, one team may win more than one pot. However, one team may not enter more than one (1) place winning hog, in any one pot. Should a team have a previously weighed hog entered into a pot, and the team produces a hog that is closer to exact in an exact pot or heavier in a heavy pot than their previous entry, their previous entry will be over-written with the newer weight. heavier

When does an entry become an official winner?

Weights are unofficial until after a contest ends and all confirmations are completed. The leaderboard may be subject to change should one or more teams be disqualified after the contest ends, and the subsequent entries will move up the list accordingly.

If more than 1 hog is weighed as an exact weight or as a heavy hog or stringer, what is the tie breaker?

The date and time of each pot entry is recorded at the time of weigh in. The pot entry made at an earlier date and time will be declared the winner for any tiebreaker.

How will my entries by marked for Date and Time?

The date is simple. On the day you bring your hog(s) in to be weighed, this will be the Date. For the time, we will check our official clock for the time of your first entry to be weighed, and this will become your official time. If your team is weighing multiple entries into more than one pot, the initial time recorded will be the official time entered for each of your subsequent entries during that weigh-in session. If you leave the weigh-in lanes and return later the same day to weigh additional entries, a new time will be logged for your additional entries.

What if my team arrives to the weigh-in location at the same time as other teams?

We anticipate there may be times when multiple teams arrive at the same time to the weign-in lane. In these instances we expect all contestants to act in an appropraite manner, lining up to weigh in behind one another.

We will always work to provide a map of the path to be followed when bringing hogs in to weigh. We will work to avoid long weigh-in lines and to keep the weigh-in process fair. Anyone acting in an innapropriate manner when attempting to enter or maintain their place in the weigh-in line may be subject to contest disqualification and subject to the involvement of local authorities, should their actions get out of hand. We don't expect this to ever become an issue as no amount of prize money is worth that trouble, but it's FAQ's and we felt it needed to be said.

What is required to confirm a pot winning entry?

The contest organizer has final decision for any discrepancy that may arise. As noted above, we strongly encourage every contestant to utilize video technology as a means of validation for every pot entry.
